Finally! I am installed in my new studio! It has been a year without one. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself.

One of my Imaginary Botanicals has been selected to be part of a group show at the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics. Part of the proceeds from each sale will go to the CMMT. The show opens May the 18th, 2011 and will run until the end of June.

Once again I have the privilege of being able to contribute one of my drawings to this years Unite with Art silent auction which will be happening in June. I'll keep you posted regarding date and time.

Two of my drawings will be auctioned off September 22nd, Maynard's Auction House. Caribou Adornment and Arctic Hare Scullcap will be up on the block. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Emily Carr Institute of Fine Arts for grants for visual artists. I'll be there cheering my little drawings on! I love auctions.

Fellow artist and friend Rosanne Bennett and I have been invited by Paul Wong to show at his On Main space as part of DRAWN, a Vancouver drawing festival happening at various galleries around town. It will be a collaborative effort, installation based. A first for the both of us I think. Together we are known as Beautiful Frontier. The show shall be informed by our history and experience of having been born and raised in small town, British Columbia through the seventies and eighties. That's all I'm going to give away. The opening night is July 17th 8pm-10pm with an artist's talk on Saturday, July 31st at 2pm. Come on down!

Two of my mixed media drawings will be published in the April 2010 edition of Creative Quarterly Journal of Art and Design. Serious Trouble Will Pass You By was awarded the silver medal placement in their professional Fine Art category and Cakewalker received a merit award. I'm so excited! Check it out!

Meanwhile, I'm working on a bunch of new drawings and will be making prints of some of the drawings that have sold. If you are interested in something let me know! Hope the new year is shaping up nicely.
